District Leaders Develop Plan to Reopen Schools

Oakwood Schools officials are evaluating Gov. DeWine's state guidelines for reopening schools this fall.

"We have been waiting for this important information, the details needed to finalize our proposed plans for the start of the 2020 - 2021 school year.  Our teams have been working since spring to develop our plans with the goal of providing all Oakwood students quality learning experiences in a safe environment," Oakwood Schools Superintendent Dr. Kyle Ramey said.

Ramey says his teams will be reviewing and processing all of the information from state and local officials.

"We know any plan we have must be flexible, allowing for changes and revisions at a moment’s notice," Ramey said.

The District hopes to be ready to release a summary of its restart plan in the next week.  After that, school officials will continue to work on the details to make the plan "the best it can be for Oakwood students, staff, families and the community as a whole."
